FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Pathways wants to understand your needs and make sure that the service we offer is appropriate for you. We also want you to be sure that you are receiving the right support.
Therefore, before embarking on counselling we require that your first session be an initial assessment. At the end of your assessment, you can decide whether you would like to continue. This could be for a few sessions or more depending on your needs.

How much does counselling cost?

We provide professional, affordable counselling. The average cost for a 50-minute counselling session in the UK is currently £65.50. It costs Pathways £35.00 per session to provide this service.

How do I pay for my session?

Sessions are paid directly to Pathways. Payments should be made before the session using your client code that your counsellor gives you. If you are struggling to pay for your sessions please speak to your counsellor. Please note that non-payment of sessions will result in sessions being cancelled.

Do you offer concessionary sessions?

Our aim is not to turn anyone needing counselling away, so we have a limited number of time limited concessionary places available periodically. There is a waiting list for these sessions. To be added to the waiting list please email info@pathwaysleeds.org and include your contact details.

Where do the sessions take place?

We have counsellors who work face-to-face, online and over the telephone.

Do you offer sessions to under-18s?

At the moment this is not something we are able to offer, but we hope to in future!

I am not a Christian – can I still have counselling with Pathways?

Yes of course you can! Our counsellors are here to provide a space for you to express your thoughts, feelings, experiences and more. You are welcome to explore your faith and spirituality in sessions if you choose to. Pathways counsellors are not here to ‘convert’; we are here to provide a space for you to have full autonomy.

Do you have student counsellors?

We do have some student counsellors. These counsellors are studying UK professionally accredited courses at level 4 or above. They have a Pathways mentor as well as their own personal supervision. You can request not to have a student counsellor.

How do I book a counselling session?

To book a counselling session, please fill out a self-referral form. Our Team Co-ordinator will then contact you to arrange a session.

For initial enquires and to amend or cancel a booking please call 07864 127324 or email info@pathwaysleeds.org.
